Post Village Council schedules public hearings on street light issue

New Paris Village Council has scheduled public hearings on the street light issue. The meetings will be held at the village building.

Times:

Saturday – December 24, at 10:00 a.m.

Wednesday – December 28 at 7:00 p.m.

Citizens and business owners concerned for or against the street lights going out should attend.

This proposal will basically save our village bacon. We were extremely fortunate that it was presented.

It should keep the lights on.

The Village Council passed it tonight. According to the presentation residents should see 20% - 30% reduced electric rates and the street lights will stay on. To me it sounded like a pretty darn good deal that the council got for the people.

    • It was a mistake to have that “goofy looking blank person” on the profiles. It should remain blank. When I get time I will see about setting up the ability to add a pic.
